Two, Playoff Weekend or Beatdown McNugget

Before diving into the first of our 2 weekend E.R. (Emergency Reserve) lists, I do want to offer a quick apology for not getting an article up late last night.  No excuses are necessarily good enough, but for what it's worth, I had to unpack all my worldly belongings into a new home and go to bed early.  So, I ask you, what's the point of writing an article, if I've only been awake for 2 of the evening's 3 games.  A "D+" is not sufficient.

Now, after taking a moment to survey the conclusion of the night's final game, I can launch headstrong into the semifinal round E.R., first noting, of course, that the Denver Nuggets are looking pretty beefy over the last 10 or 11 games.  They have the same issue as the Jazz, though, and that's winning on the road.  The Lakers are still the only team in the Western Conference that have shown the ability to beat good teams on the road, consistently.  Alright, let's do this!

Saturday (last week I wrote this article on Friday night, which gave readers about an hour and a half to grab any of the gentlemen I mentioned for Saturday.  This week I got my head out of my butt...):
  • Chris Duhon - 9 assists, 2 threes
  • Wilson Chandler - 15 points, 7 rebounds, 1 three, 2 steals, 1 block
  • Jared Jeffries - 9 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal
  • Kirk Hinrich - (If John Salmons is out; keep your ears open for info on this one. Void if Salmons plays) 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 threes, 2 steals
  • Tyrus Thomas - 8 rebounds, 3 blocks
  • Joakim Noah - 7 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 blocks
  • Rodney Stuckey - 16 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists
  • Flip Murray - 15 points, 2 threes, 1 steal
  • Mario Chalmers - 1 three, 2 steals
  • Gilbert Arenas - 16 points, 9 assists, 1 three
  • Brendan Haywood - 8 rebounds, 2 blocks
  • Mark Gasol - 11 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, 2 blocks
  • Chris Kaman - 9 rebounds, 2 blocks
  • J.R. Smith - 13 points, 3 threes
Sunday (Plan ahead, you've got all the time in the world):
  • Matt Barnes - 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 threes, 1 steal
  • Grant Hill - 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block
  • Chris Duhon, Wilson Chandler, Jared Jeffries - See Saturday
  • Raja Bell - 2 threes, 1 steal
  • Rodney Stuckey - See Saturday
  • J.R. Smith - See Saturday
  • Mike Miller - 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 threes
  • Ryan Gomes - 16 points, 1 three
  • Steve Blake - 10 points, 7 assists, 2 threes
  • Shane Battier - (It pains me to say it, but he's been hitting some 3's lately.  Still don't think he's even close to a "No Stats All Star") 2 threes, 2 steals
  • Jarrett Jack - 16 points, 5 assists, FT%
  • T.J. Ford - 12 points, 8 assists, 2 steals
  • Kelenna Azubuike - 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 threes
  • Jason Thompson - 10 rebounds
  • Francisco Garcia - 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, 1 three
  • Spencer Hawes - 14 points, 7 rebounds, 1 three, 1 block
  • Chris Kaman - See Saturday
  • Trevor Ariza - 1 three, 2 steals
Hope that helps!  Plan ahead, grab those guys that fit the categories you need immediately, then deploy when the time is right.  If you follow those simple guidelines, you can take down teams significantly more loaded than your own.  If you're already the #1 team, following this strategy (saving games early in the week, ensuring victory later), you'll be more or less unbeatable.
